The Story of Our Founder
SME Funding Guide was founded five months ago by Ramesh Kumar Malhotra (R.
K.
Malhotra), a Bangalore-based educator and writer.
Ramesh grew up in an ordinary middle-class Indian family where education and discipline were always a priority.
While pursuing his higher studies in commerce, he realized how little exposure many students and young entrepreneurs had to topics like small business funding, investment diversification, or even the basics of financial literacy.
After completing his post-graduation, he worked in a mid-level managerial role for a financial services company.
While there, he learned how complex, technical, and often intimidating the world of finance can be for ordinary people.
He noticed that even SMEs (small and medium enterprises) that had potential to grow would stumble because they could not grasp the financial explanations given to them.
Determined to bridge this gap, Ramesh started experimenting with content creation early in 2025.
By April, with the support of a few peers in research and publishing, he launched SME Funding Guide as a platform aimed at simplifying financial subjects without turning them into risky advisory material.
His vision was to create a reliable, approachable, and educational reference point.
